Grant Appears on the Band Aid 20 Single, release on 29th Novemeber 2004.
Grant Nicholas has spoken exclusively to Xfm Online and confirmed the
bands next single.
Over a year since Feeders last release, Grant has revealed the name of the
bands new single and when fans can expect to hear it.
Its called Tumble And Fall, he explained, And its a little bit
different to what people may expect us to bring out as first single, but youll have
to wait and hear it. Its not a big, heavy rock song, its just a real classic,
I think.
Weve been locked away recording for eight months. The album only has a working title
at the moment, and I have to keep that quiet at the moment, but it comes out at the end of
January.
The frontman also explained how the sound of the album compares to 2003s slick and
smooth sounding Comfort In Sound.
Its a very organic sounding record, Nicholas said, And there was a really good
atmosphere when we were recording this one. Im not saying it was an easy record to
make, but it was a really enjoyable record to make, and hopefully thatll show when
people hear it. Im really happy with it and thats quite rare for me.
While the record is pencilled in for a January release, Grant also hinted that fans may be
able to get a sneak preview of the new material in a live environment before the end of
the year.
We may do a few low-key shows towards Christmas time, he hinted. Sort of like show-case
gigs, and then next year were gonna be touring all the time. Its going to be a
very busy time for us.
The band have finished recording the new album and the video for the first single will be shot in mid October. The album has been scheduled for release sometime in the New Year.

Mould. He's the guy that directed Turn, Just A Day and Come Back Around. The video was
shot over two days in various locations from Camber Sands to London's Docklands. It's
basically about an endless journey.
Over the two days Grant walked over 4miles while making video.
The band will be performing on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross on the 25th of April.
Grant
talks about the current Tour.
It's nice to play new material because we've been playing the old songs for a long time
now.
It's quite hard because we're playing mainly new stuff - obviously we're playing a few old
singles because people will go mad if we don't play them - but if it was up to me I'd just
play all the new album, maybe a couple of old songs but I know that won't work.
We are doing a lot of the new record and we're mixing it up. Some nights we'll do one song
and other nights we'll do a different one. We're doing at least seven or eight songs each
night from the new album, which is quite a lot. A few songs from the first album, a few
from the second and a few from Echo Park.
It's quite a nice mix but I just feel the new album stuff isn't as full-on as some of the
old stuff, it's more about the songs.
Some of the shows aren't people bouncing from the first track. A lot of the new material
is more listening stuff, it's not all the high energy stuff which people might associate
Feeder with.

Feederwebs breakdown on the new B-sides
Broken
A strange and haunting track, built around a simple acoustic pattern, but with vocal
distortion, plenty of echo and unusual background noises. The melody unfolds slowly,
building up to a fantastically downbeat chorus. It smacks of a sanitised future world,
full of computers, but one with no feelings or humanity. The song manages to break free
and attains almost ethereal qualities at the end.
Redemption
Built around a lazy, mischievous and industrial sounding drum loop,
Redemption slowly unfolds with a trippy vocal over distorted electronica and a ghostly
background. Feeder move very distinctly in another direction. We watch the morning
come, another days begun. The closest Feeder have got to chilled out trip hop.
Sounds great if youre driving at night.
Child In You Acoustic
Stripped back, the song is every bit as poignant as the original but is infused with more
melancholy, as the crisp strums of the chorus combine with the delicate picking of the
verses. A superb version and essential to any Feeder acoustic collection.
Feederweb has revealed who is to support Feeder on the forthcoming UK tour.. it
will be as follows: Dublin/Belfast - INME; Norwich through to Leeds Serafin; Liverpool
through to end excluding two Brixtons Hell is for Heroes; Brixton 7 March -Serafin first

FEEDER'S NEW SINGLE OUT ON THE 30th OF SEPTEMBER...
New single Come Back Around released on 30th September 2002.
New album Comfort In Sound released on 21st October 2002.
Feeder will release their fourth full album on 21st October 2002 on the Echo Label.
Comfort In Sound is the result of prolific work in the studio this year.
Comfort In Sound will feature eleven all-new Feeder songs including the
first single Come Back Around released on September 30th. Come
Back Around is up-tempo, upbeat and definitely rock. Despite some
starkly emotional lyrics that hint at the bands state of mind at the beginning of
the year, Come Back Around is an emphatic address: a statement of intent.
Other track titles include Forget About Tomorrow, Helium,
Find The Colour, Just The Way Im Feeling,
Godzilla and Child In You.
Comfort In Sound was recorded in London this year and produced by Grant
Nicholas and Gil Norton, who also worked with Feeder on Echo Park.
Feeder will play their first and only - shows of 2002 in August. They headline
Evening Session stage at The Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds and Glasgow Gig On The
Green and warm up for these dates in Portsmouth on the 20th August. Full dates follow:
August
Tuesday 20th Portsmouth Wedgwood Rooms (Reading warm up gig)
Friday 23rd Reading Festival
Saturday 24th Leeds Festival
Sunday 25th Glasgow Gig On The Green
Of the decision to carry on after the January suicide of drummer Jon Lee, singer Grant
Nicholas said in Kerrang! (Cover dated 27 July 2002): Were carrying on because
I think its what Jon would have wanted.
Weve come too far, weve got too many fans out there, and theres
too many people that have really stuck by us over the years. It just seems tragic to give
up now. Were a good band, but weve got a lot more left in us before we call it
a day. Feeders first major interview of the year appears in full in this
weeks issue Kerrang!
Mark Richardson, ex-Skunk Anansie, has drummed on the album, and will join Grant and
bassist Taka Hirose to play the August dates. He is not, at present a fully-fledged member
of Feeder.
Tragic news that Jon
Lee was found dead 09/01/2002....

Buck Rogers Song Explanation.
The band are now in the studio working on the new album and there will be a single out in the autumn sometime, it's a little bit early to say exactly when the album will be just yet (although early next year is most likely)...
The new album Echo Park was recorded in Milton Keynes at Great Lindford Manor earlier
this year. The band hooked up with highly respected producer Gil Norton, famous for
putting the finishing touches to some of The Pixies best work and more recently
bands like Foo Fighters and Counting Crows. Grant then crossed the Atlantic to mix the
album in LA, joining up with Jack Joseph Puig, well known for his work with bands like The
Black Crowes, Green Day and No Doubt.
If you were at the bands festival appearances over the summer then youll have
already heard the electrifying new single Buck Rogers, due for release on 8 January.
Its the first new release for 18 months and will be backed by a whole host of new
songs.
CD1 Buck Rogers/ Purple/ Heads
CD2 Buck Rogers/ We The Electronic/ 21st Century Meltdown/ Buck Rogers (video)
7 Buck Rogers/ Sex Type Drug
Buck Rogers is the lead off track from the forthcoming album, Echo Park, which takes its
name from a park Grant saw in LA while he was mixing the album. The band completed the new
material with acclaimed Pixies producer Gil Norton and was mixed in LA by Jack Joseph
Puig. Watch out for the album release, sometime in Spring 2001.

Brixton Gig 15/10/99
Supported by Cay and Subcircus. Feeder are a so called post Grunge, Grunge band, and this was there biggest UK gig to date. The gig contained old favourites like High and Cement, and new stuff like Yesterday Went Too Soon and Insomnia, must admit I didn't think the sound was brilliant, but maybe I've just started to go deaf. Overall the band are very tight and performed brilliantly, even looked like they were really enjoying what they were doing. Check out Feeder if you get chance, they are great, and watch out for Taka, he's a nutter on the bass. Edition format containing extra CD with 3 video's and Feeder Doc
