The Band

 

British pop-metal outfit Feeder formed in 1992 in Wales come together in London in 1995. Singer/guitarist Grant Nicholas and drummer Jon Lee, who first teamed up in the Welsh band Temper Temper. Originally dubbed Reel, the new group's line-up was complete with the addition of Tokyo-born bassist Taka Hirose. After signing with Echo in 1995 Feeder issued its debut EP "Two Colours", followed by the six-track "Swim"; a series of well-received singles -- "Stereo World, "Tangerine" and "Cement" -- expanded the trio's fan base further, and in mid-1997 they launched their full-length debut "Polythene" . The hit  "Day In, Day Out" preceded the release of Feeder's sophomore effort, 1999's album "Yesterday Went Too Soon". Now 2001 two more great singles were released "Buck Rogers" and "Seven Days In The Sun" taken from the smash album "Echo Park"

Born 12/11/1968,  in Newport, Wales, Grant and Jon were the starting point for Feeder. Grant's song writing talents and rhythmitic guitar playing are his main skills.

From Japan, born 27/07/1967 in a small village near Nagoya, the unsung hero of Feeder. His bass playing is superb and his backing vocals are great too.

Previously in a band called 'Velvet Jones' who due to record label problems split, also has a band called 'Sandstone Veterans', born in Newcastle 28/11/1970. Born 28/03/1968, in Newport , Wales, Jon was an indispensable part of Feeder. The songs have transformed thanks to his energetic drum playing  sadly, he took his own life in his Miami home on 07/01/2002.
